Under the government's offer, the UK will build five coastal patrol ships, five navy escorts and a logistical support vessel, according to Agence France Presse.

According to the proposed contract, Brazil demanded a complete technological transfer package as it seeks a maritime defence contract to protect recently found vast offshore oil deposits.
