The US Navy has awarded a contract to Boeing to supply 12 automatic systems that test and repair electronic aircraft parts.

The $26m contract also includes an option to order 35 AN/USM-702 reconfigurable transportable consolidated automated support systems.

The order includes purchases for the navy, air force and the Government of Finland, according to the Associated Press.

Work will be carried out at the company’s facilities in the US and is expected to be complete by September 2012.
