Four warships from the Indian Navy’s Western Fleet, plus Brazilian warships and South African submarines will be deployed in the Indian Ocean for the navy drills, labelled the India-Brazil-South Africa Maritime Exercises (IBSAMAR).
The Indian warships will visit Kenya, Tanzania and Mozambique, and will also patrol Mauritius and the Seychelles to carry out anti-piracy operations.
Brazilian ambassador Marco Brandao said the exercises will give the three countries an opportunity to establish concrete relations, according to The Financial Express.
