Boustead DCNS Naval Corporation has been awarded a contract to provide in-service support for the Royal Malaysian Navy’s two Prime Minister Class Scorpene submarines.

Boustead will provide a full submarine integrated logistics support package consisting of spare parts and outfitting of workshop equipment, yard facilities and equipment, submarine safety conditioning facilities, and support and maintenance.

The company will also provide covered tugboat services, operation and maintenance of the shiplift, transfer system and submarine umbilical services.

The €193m contract will be effective until 30 November 2015.
