SAIC has been awarded a contract by the US Navy’s Military Sealift Command (MSC) to provide data centre, IT and disaster recovery site support.
Under the contract, SAIC will provide ashore and afloat communications and IT services for MSC ships.
The follow-on contract has a total value of more than $49m with a one-year base period of performance and four one-year options.
The MSC is involved in finding innovative maritime solutions to ocean transportation challenges.
