Alliant Techsystems (ATK) has delivered AGM-88E advanced anti-radiation guided missiles (AARGM), an upgrade to the AGM-88 HARM system, to the US Navy.

The AARGM, a network-enabled weapon, provides the warfighter with an innovative capability to defeat multiple targets.

The missile also provides a supersonic, air-launched tactical missile integrated onto the FA-18C/D, FA-18E/F, EA-18G and Tornado ECR aircraft.

The advanced multisensor system can receive tactical intelligence information via an embedded receiver and transmit real-time weapon impact assessment (WIA) reports ahead of impact.

The missile compatible with the F-35 Lightning II, EA-6B Prowler and US and Allied F-16 Falcon aircraft is capable of quickly engaging traditional and advanced enemy targets.

AARGM’s distinct combat capability increases successful engagements, minimises collateral damage and rules out the need to fly continuous suppression runs throughout the conflict.
