The RAM is a small, lightweight, infrared-guided missile currently in use by the Turkish, German, Greek, UAE, Egyptian, South Korean and US Navies.
The supersonic missile features autonomous dual-mode, passive radio frequency and infrared guidance design enabling the weapon to engage multiple threats simultaneously.
Developed jointly by Raytheon and RAMSYS of Germany, the RAM is specifically designed to provide enhanced protection for ships of all sizes.
Work under the $1.2m contract will be carried out by LaBarge at its Tulsa facility and the deliveries of card assemblies are expected to be complete by June 2011.
