The Indian Navy has launched two water jet-propelled fast attack vessels at the naval jetty in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

INS Cankarso and INS Kondul were indigenously built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) in two-and-a-half years, according to the Hindu.

The vessels are the fifth and sixth of ten fast attack craft being built for the Indian Navy at GRSE shipyard with the remaining scheduled for delivery in December.

Each with a displacement capacity of 325t, the fast attack boats can cruise at a maximum speed of 35kt.

The two ships can accommodate four offices and 45 sailors each, and will be based in Goa.
