The German Navy has awarded a contract to Northrop Grumman to install new radar systems on ten vessels.

Northrop Grumman will install its new-generation Sperry Marine VisionMaster FT radar systems on ten additional German Navy ships.

Of the vessels, two will be equipped with dual-channel radar technology, which allows two independent asynchronous radar units to be displayed and controlled on a single console.

Northrop will also provide other services, including training, spares, installation, engineering and project management.
