The US Navy has awarded a contract to Kratos Defense & Security to provide support services for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), in Dahlgren, Virginia.
Under the $49.9m contract, the company will provide technical services for development, test and evaluation programmes on the suitability of explosive and non-explosive components and weapons systems.
Additional support areas include weapons evaluation, explosive and test range facilities management, test engineering and instrumentation, explosive test facility and equipment maintenance, grounding and bonding, and lightning protection and warning.
The five-year contract, awarded by the NSWCDD, also enables the company to assist with environmental site remediation, impact statements, training and inspections.
