The SPS is an annual deployment of various speciality platforms to the US Southern Command area in the Caribbean and Latin America aimed at information sharing with navies, coast guards and civilian services throughout the region.
During the five-month deployment, HSV 2 will conduct training and subject matter expert exchanges with partner nations in the region.
HSV 2 will visit also visit the island nations of Barbados, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama and Suriname.
