The Vietnam Navy has awarded a contract to Viking Air to provide six DHC-6 Twin Otter Series 400 aircraft.

All six aircraft will be configured with convertible interiors and utility layouts specifically designed for amphibious operations.

Three aircraft will be designated as Guardian 400 maritime patrol variants, while all six will carry out missions including transport, resupply, maritime surveillance and search and rescue throughout the Vietnamese coastal regions.

Viking’s sister company, Pacific Sky Aviation, will provide technical and flight training for the Vietnam Navy pilots along with Twin Otter Series 400 amphibious float-operating experience.
