The Qatari Emiri Navy will equip its fleet of four Vita-class patrol boats with Exocet MM40 Block 3 missiles from MBDA.

The Exocet MM40 Block3 is a naval missile with a significantly extended range thanks to turbojet propulsion.

Qatari Emiri Navy commander staff brigadier Mohammed Bin Nasser Al Mohannadi said the missile development project is part of a plan to update the Qatari Emiri Navy.

“It is an integrated project which deals with modernised missile systems, the development of missile launcher systems and updating with the latest technology in the field,” Mohannadi said.
