Raytheon will produce LAU-115D/A and LAU-116B/A missile launchers for the US Navy under an $18.9m contract.

The US Navy will use the missile launchers aboard its F/A-18E/F and E/A-18G aircraft.

The missile launchers will provide structural and electrical interfaces to allow the aircraft to carry and launch missiles, including the advanced medium-range air-to-air missile (AMRAAM) and AIM-9X Sidewinder.

Production will be undertaken at the company’s facility in Indiana. It is expected to be complete by September 2012.
