The US Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command has awarded a five-year contract to Science Applications International Corporation to provide systems engineering and technical support services to the Navy Tactical Mobile (TacMobile) Program.

Under the $108m contract, the company will provide integration and testing of TacMobile hardware, engineering services to maintain the currently fielded TacMobile systems, and design engineering services to support future system upgrades and technical refreshes.

The TacMobile Program will provide the ground support elements for pre-flight mission planning, in-flight data processing and post-flight data processing.

In addition, TacMobile will provide analysis for maritime patrol aircraft in performances of anti-submarine warfare and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.

Work will be carried out in Charleston, South Carolina, and Patuxent River, Maryland, USA.
