A series of missiles and torpedoes have been successfully test fired by the Pakistan Navy in the Arabian Sea.

In a statement, the Pakistani Navy said that these were a clear message of deterrence to anyone harbouring “nefarious designs”.

According to the statement, the weapons tested included anti-surface, air-to-surface and subsurface-to-surface missiles.

It was not immediately clear if the missiles tested were capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
