The US Navy has awarded a contract to Jacobs Engineering Group to provide technical and logistics support services to cover the navy marine corps intranet (NMCI) life cycle.

Under the $38.7m contract, the company will provide support services, including implementation support of NMCI solutions, and life-cycle planning requirements for transition of NMCI to next-generation enterprise network (NGEN) for its programme managers.

The support services contract is the remainder of the previously awarded NMCI services contract to fulfil the NMCI and NGEN requirements.

Jacobs president and CEO Craig Martin said the services provided would help to sustain and enhance mission-critical access to enterprise information technologies worldwide for sailors and marines.
