Under the contract, the company will cover complete availability of service and spares as well as customer-specific obsolescence management, programme management, and logistical services.
In addition, Raytheon will provide troubleshooting, obsolescence and development support, as well as training for crewing members and technicians.
The navy’s Type 45 destroyers are equipped with six multifunctional workstations that radar and electronic chart display and information system functions, the gyro and steering package, and a complete set of navigational sensors.
Maintenance and repair work of these navigation systems on board the vessels will run until 2016.
