The BCD is designed to provide the command team on the bridge with fused Situational Awareness data during maritime interdiction and surveillance operations.
In addition, the BCD can display video streaming from the Royal Navy’s Merlin Mk1 helicopter’s Wescam equipped under a Full Motion Video Urgent Operational Requirement.
Lockheed Martin will also equip a second BCD and NavLAN on the HMS Ark Royal and a NavLAN application on a P2000 fast patrol boat.
