StandardAero will provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for the Taiwanese Navy’s T56 engine and quick engine change (QEC) under a foreign military sale from the US Navy.

Under the $36m contract, Taiwan will also purchase 12 P3 Orion aircraft engines and eight spare engines while StandardAero will perform MRO services QEC workload which includes 56 engines and QEC assemblies.

P-3 Orion is a four-engine turboprop maritime surveillance aircraft primarily for maritime patrol, reconnaissance, anti-surface warfare and anti-submarine warfare.

The contract has been awarded by the US Naval Air Systems Command and the work will run for the next four years.
