The US Navy has awarded a contract to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) to provide engineering support services to the Program Executive Office for integrated warfare systems (PEO IWS).

Under the $160m contract awarded by the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), the company will provide enterprise solutions for functional areas of systems engineering, ship integration and product development.

Additional support services by the company include foreign military sales and surge requirements and direct support to the system integration programme managers (SIPMs).

SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager Tom Baybrook said the company was pleased to support the important mission of the naval sea community.

“Under this new task order, we will help supply an enterprise solution encompassing a full range of engineering support services across PEO IWS’s highly inter-related product lines,” he said.
