BAE Systems has awarded e2v two contracts worth £70m to supply electron devices and microwave subsystems to US and UK naval forces.

Under the first £2.2m order, the electronics systems company will supply radar components and subsystems for the radar platform on the Seawolf air defence system, a British naval guided missile system.

Under the second £2.4m order, e2v will provide elements for a guided-missile decoy system for use on the US Navy’s F/A-18 Super Hornet aircraft.

The contracts are for the low-rate initial production stages and part of the primary pact signed between e2v and BAE in 2008.
