The mk104 DTRM provides propulsion for the SM-2 missile, an integral part of the Aegis weapon system used aboard Ticonderoga Class cruisers and Arleigh Burke Class destroyers.
The DTRM is also used as second-stage propulsion for the SM-3, for ballistic missile defence missions and for the latest extended-range active missile (SM-6) anti-air land and sea missile.
The recent delivery marks the 5,000th mk104 DTRM shipment to the US Navy from Aerojet.
