Under the contract ATK, a division of aerospace and defence company Alliant Techsystems, will design, develop and demonstrate a prototype for an advanced missile warning system.
The new missile warning system will be installed on the Navy and US Marine corps aircraft to increase their survivability in hostile environments.
Work will be carried out at the company’s facility in Florida as well as various other locations across the United States and is expected to be complete by January 2011.
