The Royal South Korean Navy has awarded a contract to German naval electronics and systems company Atlas Elektronik to equip the Korean submarines with combat systems.
The contract, which is the biggest single order ever received by the company, will equip six Class 214 submarines, diesel-electric submarines developed by Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft GmbH (HDW), with the type ISUS90-61 combat systems.
The ISUS90 submarine combat system made by Atlas Elektronik is an advanced and sea-proven fully integrated sensor, command and control and weapon-engagement systems supplier.
