The German Navy’s third Type 702 Berlin Class replenshment ship is being equipped with integrated communication system by Hagenuk Marinekommunikation GmbH (HMK),

HMK, a manufacturer of internal / external communication system for naval vessels, will integrate and install the communication system including radio equipment for external radio communications as well as the internal communication system for the Class 702 replenishment ships.

The system features the newest technologies, including HF broadband antenna systems, adaptive radio techniques, on-board network (LAN) and wireless internal communication.

HMK has already equipped the combat support ships Berlin and the Frankfurt am Main with the communications system.
