The US Navy has awarded a $19.3m modification contract to Booz Allen Hamilton to provide technical and engineering services for the Navy’s communications-electronics advanced technology (CEAT) systems.

Under the contract, the company will provide research, design, development, integration, installation, test and evaluation, fielding, analysis, maintenance, training and logistics support for the US Navy under CEAT.
The CEAT systems include analogue and digital, communication/telecommunication, voice, data and video imagery, information warfare, virtual labs, distributed processing, cyberwarfare, neural and information network systems, subsystems and equipment.
The systems are employed in various platforms including air, shore, manpack/handheld systems, boats and vehicles.
Under the original CEAT system contract, the company also provides services to the US Army, US Air Force, US Special Operations Forces, US Joint Services and other federal agencies.
Booz Allen will carry out 70% work in Lexington Park and the rest in St Inigoes, both in Maryland. The company expects to complete the work by August 2010.
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Patuxent River, Maryland manages the contract.
