Under the contract, the company’s Integrated Defense Systems in Massachusetts will provide ordnance alteration kits for the AN/SPY-1 radar transmitter used in the Aegis system to enhance the radar’s processing performance and capability.
In addition, the company will continue its performance-based logistics support, including spares and repairs for foreign military sales as well as Aegis weapons systems used by the US Navy and Coastguard.
Aegis systems are installed in the US Navy’s fleet of cruisers and destroyers, as well as Japanese Kongo Class destroyers and Spanish F-100 Class frigates.
Work will be carried out at the company’s facilities in Massachusetts and Virginia.
