The US Navy has awarded a $36.4m contract to ship and boat repair company Integrated Marine Services to provide ventilation cleaning services to navy vessels.

Under the contract, the company will provide the cleaning support services for navy ships and also other government vessels within a 50-mile radius of San Diego, California.

Work will be carried out in San Diego and is expected to be complete by July 2014.

The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center and US Coast Guard has awarded the contract.
