The US Navy has awarded a $43.5m contract to Northrop Grumman to provide information support services to the US Marine Corps Topographic Production Capability (TPC) systems.

Under the five-year contract, the company will provide TPC commanders with the information required to support the Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield as well as support, maintenance, sustainment and technology refresh services to the Marine Corps.

The IPB process for commanders and staff is a logical and systematic frame of reference to develop critical analysis and viable courses of action during war and general operations.

Northrop will partner with software development and services companies, Environmental Systems Research Institute in California and Avineon in Virginia.

The work set to be carried out primarily at the company’s facilities in Virginia.
