A $67m contract to help foreign allies purchase US military equipment has been awarded to consulting government contractor Booz Allen Hamilton by the US Navy.

Under the contract, the company will support the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command programme executive office for Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence.

Booz Allen programme manager Bob Hulsey said that the formalised procedure within the Department of Defense ensuring the allies and coalition partners can interoperate with the US and other allies.

The company was previously a subcontractor for the programme.
