The US Navy has awarded a $71m contract to Illinois-based military vehicle manufacturer Navistar Defense to support the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle programme.

Under the contract, the company will procure battle damage assessment and repair kits to supply necessities for the MaxxPro Base and MaxxPro Plus vehicles.

The work is set to be carried out in at the Red River Army Depot in Texarkana, Texas, and the deliveries are scheduled for 1 August.

The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia has awarded the procurement contract.
