The US Navy has awarded a $45.64m contract to DynCorp International, a private military contractor in Texas to provide support services for the Joint Special Operations Task Force in the Philippines.

Under the contract the company will provide support services including all labour, supervision, management, tools, materials, equipment, facilities, transportation and incidental engineering.

The contract is a modification to the previously awarded task order to exercise the second option period on the base contract, making the total amount of $206,634,712.

The work will be carried out in the Philippines and is expected to be complete by 30 June 2010.
