Under the SEK180m contract awarded by Navy and defence surveillance systems supplier Lockheed Martin, Saab will upgrade the 2D radar, Sea Giraffe 150 HC for the development of the Navy’s Halifax Class frigates.
The upgrade and modification of the existing Sea Giraffe 150 HC will provide a high level of operational availability with improved functions of the radar, thus enhancing the warfare capabilities of the frigates.
The deliveries are scheduled for 2010-2017.
