The US Navy has awarded a follow-on contract to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) to provide technical, engineering and logistics support to the Naval Air Systems Command’s (NAVAIR) Air Combat Electronics Program Office (PMA-209).

Under the $45m contract, the company will support the PMA-209 Communications and Airborne Networking (CAN) team and help plan and manage capabilities for naval aviation use.

Awarded by NAVAIR, the contract with a base period and five one-year options, will exceed a total value of $45m if all options are exercised.

Work under the contract will be carried out mainly at NAVAIR’s Naval Air Station in Patuxent River, Maryland, US.
