Raytheon has received a logistics contract from the US Navy to provide support for the communication terminals of the extremely high-frequency satellite programme (NESP).

Under the $51.6m task order, Raytheon will provide services in the areas of warehouse and tracking government-furnished material; resolve supply-obsolescence or source issues; and evaluate, test, repair and modify communication equipment.

Work under the contract will be performed at the company’s Virginia and California, US, sites with additional engineering support performed facilities in Massachusetts and Florida, US.

The purpose of the NESP is to provide protected, survivable core command and control communications for warfighters.
