Turkey will conduct joint exercises with Oman, the UAE, Qatar, Pakistan, India, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Jordan from 19 to 21 June in Muscat.

Four Turkish warships, TCG YB Kudret Güngör, TCG Barbaros, TCG Gelibolu and TCG Gemlik will be deployed at the Sultan Qaboos Port in Muscat, according to Times of Oman.

The exercise is intended to support ongoing UN and Nato operations worldwide in ensuring maritime security in the Gulf of Aden, Somali basin and other areas.

The deployment of the frigates will also promote security on the seas while contributing to world peace.
