Lockheed Martin Aeronautics has been awarded a modification contract for the procurement of one low-rate initial production IV conventional take-off and landing F-35 aircraft for Netherlands.

The $107.5m contract is a modification to a previously awarded fixed-price-incentive-firm contract, and includes ancillary mission equipment / pilot fighter equipment items.

Work will be carried out at the company’s facilities in Texas, California, Florida, Maryland, and New Hampshire, US, as well as the UK, and is expected to be completed in February 2013.

The US Naval Air Systems Command will be the contracting activity.
