The Royal Thai Navy has placed two orders with Saab for an upgrade to the combat management and fire control systems on two Naresuan class frigates.

The contract involves replacing the existing systems with the latest generation of combat management and fire control systems, 9LV Mk4 and CEROS 200.

The company will also supply data-link equipment to the ships, allowing interoperability between the frigates and the existing Gripen aircraft and Saab 340 turboprop aircraft.

The contract also includes procurement of third-party systems and responsibility for integration of all existing and new systems.
