The $125m order will be for the first full-rate production tractor and wrecker variants that will compliment the already existing LVSR cargo variants that have been used in Afghanistan since September 2009.
The LVSR tractor is designed to tow combat vehicles, semi-trailers and other equipment, while the wrecker supports vehicle recovery in a wide range of terrain.
The vehicle incorporates technology that provides on-board diagnostics information and integrated armour for superior protection and allows US Marines to navigate through the most challenging off-road terrain.
Production is scheduled to begin in January 2012 and will be complete in September 2012.
