OSI Geospatial has signed a contract with the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) to provide a fleetwide licence for use by the UK Royal Navy (RN).

The new fleetwide licence will allow RN to set up a common software baseline across all its current platforms from small specialised craft and land based operations to new platforms.

The licence will also enable the deployment of OSI ECPINS technology across new naval users that include T45 destroyers, Astute Class submarines and future new build platforms.

ECPINS-W Sub is the most advanced military navigational application that provides the user with full WECDIS functionality.

The technology is currently deployed and operational on over 400 warships, across 14 different navies worldwide.
