Around four fleets of warships, three jet fighters and a costal helicopter representing Oman have been joined by four fleets of Iranian warships participating in the war games.
The joint exercises will enhance readiness for providing relief services, rescue operations and to increase the level of cooperation between the two countries as well as to exchange experiences.
The two countries have also agreed to hold such military exercises in Iran and Oman’s waters every year.
The third joint war game will be held in Iran’s waters from 21 March 2011.
