VSD will design, develop, construct, install and test the Iraqi Navy training systems and provide training support, as well as deliver the 60m-long OSV.
The company will train and manage Iraqi engineers to develop four simulators to include the full mission bridge trainer, 30mm fire control trainer, engine control room trainer, and small arms trainer.
The training support will help Iraqi sailors to better operate the OSV as well as to maintain and sustain the operational requirements and systems availability throughout its service life.
Work on the $15m contract is expected to be complete by November 2011.
