Northrop has been awarded a contract by the US Department of Defense to provide specialised test equipment (STE) and related training support for the US Navy’s MH-60 Seahawk helicopter programme.

The company will provide STE and training for US Government technicians, subcontracting to Lockheed, prime contractor for the US Navy’s MH-60 common avionics suite.

The trained technicians will use STE to perform depot-level repairs to Northrop developed MH-60 cockpit avionics equipment.

The MH-60 Seahawk is a twin turboshaft engine, multimission US Navy helicopter capable of performing anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, naval special warfare insertion, search and rescue, and combat search and rescue missions.
