Rockwell has been awarded a modification contract to provide AN/ARC-210(V) electronic radio and ancillary equipment in support of the CH-53E programme.

The company will supply 132 units each of MT-4935 mounting bases, MT-7006 amplifier mounts, AM-7526 high-power amplifiers, MX-11745 LNA diplexers with high-power RF switches, SATCOM antennas and SATCOM antenna gaskets.

The CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter is used by the US Navy for the transportation of heavy equipment and supplies for amphibious assaults.

Work under the $7.6m contract will be carried out at the company’s facility in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, US, and is expected to be completed in July 2012.
