The German Navy’s new F125 frigates will be equipped with Cassidian’s newly developed TRS-4D/NR radar to better detect movements on water and in the air.

The TRS-4D radar is an improvised version of the TRS-3D and is based on a new aerial concept, which provides significantly higher surveillance and detection efficiency and reliability.

The radar uses electronic beam scanning (E-scan) technology, which helps it to perform several reconnaissance tasks simultaneously.

Cassidian will provide four naval radars, with each radar being installed with four fixed non-rotating, aerial panels.
