RELM Wireless has received a blanket purchase agreement from the US Navy for new P25 trunked communications products.

The purchase agreement includes RELM’s trunked KNG portable radios, mobile radios, repeaters and related accessories operating in VHF, UHF and 700/800MHz frequency bands.

The KNG series of portable radios provides uninterrupted interoperability across frequencies, different groups of responders and variation in terrain.

The $5.5m contract will continue until 2015 and did not specify purchase dates or quantities of equipment, according to United Press International.
