Sagem will deliver and integrate the Sigma 40 inertial navigation systems on the new Abu Dhabi Class anti-submarine warfare (ASW) frigate, the future flagship of the UAE Navy.

The navigation system will be integrated into the ship’s combat system to enhance the effectiveness of the ship’s sensors, weapons and self-defence systems.

The Sigma 40 system has also been chosen by UAE for many other vessels.

The system is used on Horizon Class frigates and Rubis / Amethyste Class nuclear attack submarines, the FREMM multimission frigates to be deployed by France and Italy, and for the new Suffren Class nuclear attack submarines.
