BAE Systems has received contract worth $139.8m to upgrade the USS Tortuga (LSD 46) Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship.
The contractor is set to perform modernisation, maintenance and repair works on USS Tortuga at its facility in Norfolk, Virginia, US.
Work under the contract is set to commence in January 2018 and conclude in May 2019.
Rockwell Collins Inc has secured a deal worth roughly $34.5m to provide a new E-2D Advanced Hawkeye Tactics Trainer to the US Navy in support of the E-2D Hawkeye Integrated Training Systems (HITS) III programme.
The tactics trainer is scheduled for delivery in August 2020 and will be used to provide robust and adaptable training services for the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye airborne early warning aircraft crew.
Huntington Ingalls Inc – Newport News Shipbuilding (HII-NNS) has received a contract worth $59.78m to plan and execute the engineered overhaul of the USS Boise (SSN 764) nuclear attack submarine.

The IVCS systems will be used to provide reliable tactical communications for ship operators.
