Alion Science and Technology has received multiple Naval Ocean Systems Command (NAVSEA) SeaPort-NxG contracts worth $896m to develop, integrate, manage and support of the Naval Integrated Training Environment (NITE).
The main purpose of the initiative is to offer an integrated programme that will allow continuous, multi-domain, real-time, virtual and constructive training (LVC) platforms at different physical locations in the Naval Training Enterprise.
The company will integrate the Southern California Offshore Range (SCORE) and Naval Joint Tactical Training Range (CTTR) into the NCTE environment that features over 1,200 interconnected nodes across the US and its coalition counties.
During the contract implementation, Alion and its teammates will provide Operations and Maintenance support for the Naval Training Enterprise.
Alion CEO and chairman Steve Schorer said: “For more than 20 years, Alion has been dedicated to the navy’s training missions supporting the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) and designing, developing and operating the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN).
“We understand the critical role training has in continuing to ready the navy for multi-domain and all domain warfare.
